Anne Bullock reaches 40 years with MARL
Having started straight from school at 16, MARL’s loyal Assembly Operative Anne Bullock has now reached her 40th anniversary with the company.
This has meant she’s seen 3 of MARL’s different sites along with hundreds of different products and changes in technology over the years. At the beginning of her time, the PCB mounting LED range was soaring in popularity with thousands being built every week; since then she’s seen the company developing lighting and indication solutions in several markets and eventually turning into the systems designer and manufacturer that it is today.

Asked about her favourite aspect of working at MARL, Anne responded that it’s the team she works with, paying tribute to a great production team who is always helping each other out and her enjoyment of sharing a wealth of knowledge with newer team members. This sentiment was reciprocated by her colleagues, with one also commenting “Anne is one of the kindest people, always helping out the team – a lovely person to work with”.
She also enjoys working with her daughter Vicky who has been with MARL for 6 years and is now in the position of Purchasing Administrator.
Now bearing witness to the company’s latest big developments such as its new ownership, Anne commented that she looks forward to seeing what the future holds and is always up for new challenges.
