Coming up in 2024…
Another interesting year lies ahead for MARL as we settle into 2024. We’re just a couple of weeks into the year and have plenty to look forward to:
To start us off in January, we have the delivery of a new Hurco vertical milling machine to update our CNC capabilities. We’ll be talking about this in more detail very soon…
In February Doug Sim (Commercial & Business Development Director) and Katie Higgins (Sales Manager – Speciality Lighting) will be visiting Lumotronic. Based in Belgium, Lumotronic is MARL’s European Master Distributor, featuring our PCB mounting LEDs, Bulb replacement LEDs, Panel indicator LEDs and Bulkheads for distribution across Europe.
On 15th and 16th May we’ll once again be exhibiting at the Media, Production and Technology Show (MPTS) in London. As the UK’s premier event for the broadcast media, production and technology industry, this proved to be an exciting event last year. We look forward to returning and demonstrating the latest in our speciality, flicker-free high CRI LED film & stage lighting.
In June the MARL Team will be participating in a golf game to raise funds for St Mary’s Hospice, a vital local charity that provides care and comfort for people with advancing illness and their families.
At the far end of the year on 6th- 9th November, we will be exhibiting at IndoDefence Expo & Forum in Jakarta. IndoDefence is Indonesia’s official tri-service defence, aerospace, maritime and security event. Defence lighting is a key market for MARL, with a portfolio spanning every defence domain including aerospace and maritime.
On the subject of Maritime, during the year we also expect completion of Hunter Class Ship 1, as well as Type 26 Ship 4 (HMS Birmingham), both of which are major milestones featuring MARL’s maritime lighting.
