Lighting for Counter-Explosive Ordnance System protects defence vehicles and crew
MARL design and manufacture a range of white and infra-red LED Lighting units for installation on defence vehicles and Counter-Explosive Ordnance Systems (CEOS) used around the world.
The lights have been designed especially for operation on vehicles with CEOS that detonate improvised explosive devices (IEDs) such as land mines, in areas where they’re suspected to be present. High resistance to shock and vibration are a fundamental part of the design, manufacturing and testing processes, so that the lighting can endure nearby explosions.
White and Infra-Red lighting are utilised – white for when clear illumination is required and IR for when driving in the dark is necessary to avoid detection. The configuration includes spot lighting to focus on a particular area and flood lighting to enhance overall forward vision for the driver. The white LED lights can optionally be fitted to a swivel bracket, allowing the light to illuminate in multiple directions.
