MARL has featured on BBC News (12th September 2023), having been approached by the BBC to discuss the recent national growth in wages matching inflation for the first time in 2 years according to the Office for National Statistics.

In BBC’s News at One and Six O’Clock News, Joanne Martin (Marine Production Planner) and Katy Rawlinson (Marine Store Operative) discussed how recent pay reviews at MARL - with rises of up to 20% alongside more flexible working arrangements - have taken some of the stress away from home, making them less stressed and more productive at work.  Adrian Rawlinson (Managing Director) discussed the pressure of rising costs on businesses, commenting that “we have to respond in order to survive and prosper”.

A summary of the story can be read, along with Joanne’s input, at https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-66778178
